Accent walls, surrounds, and hearths. Isokern or Rumford behind the face when the fire is masonry.

Brick on the house, and brick inside it. Walls, chimneys, fireplace faces, and entries. New work. An old wall that needs the mortar matched is the heritage line, not this one.

Walk the wall
The chimney, the brick, the opening, or the foundation. Photos get us started. The site tells us if the quote is honest.

Name the material
Masonal, Cultured Stone, firebrick, block, lime mortar, or an Isokern kit. The product is specified before it is ordered.

Set, flash, and point
Plumb courses. Flashing where water will try to get in. Joints finished for freeze-thaw, not for a photograph taken the same day.
04
One ticket, if you want it
Fireplace, excavator, and mason can be the same yard. You still get a straight answer when a different trade should own the leak.

Which stone lines do you deal?+–
Masonal Stone, Cultured Stone, Pangaea, Aura Natural Landscapes, and Banas Stones. We source them and we install them. We do not claim an exclusive on any of them.
Do you build Isokern and Rumford fireplaces?+–
Yes. Isokern when the house needs a lighter modular masonry firebox. Rumford when the point is radiant heat and the foundation can carry the mass. The metal wood or gas appliance, if that is the job instead, is Basswood Fireplaces.
Do you repair chimneys and old brick?+–
Yes. Residential stacks, crowns, caps, tuckpointing, and heritage brick and stone. Mortar is matched to the wall. A hard cement joint does not go on a soft old brick.
Where do you work?+–
The yard is at 1413 Basswood Lake Road, Huron Shores, about five minutes from Thessalon. The corridor runs Echo Bay through Elliot Lake, including St. Joseph Island, Blind River, and the lakes around Basswood.
Who does the gas and the wood install?+–
Licensed gas technicians and WETT-certified wood installers work through Basswood Fireplaces. Masonry — chase, surround, hearth, flue, Isokern, Rumford — stays on this line, on the same ticket when you want one yard.
