Who it is for
Houses that want clay brick on the outside, or a brick wall inside — a fireplace face, an entry, a kitchen — not a stone veneer standing in for brick.
What done looks like
Courses are level, openings are returned, the exterior is flashed at the top, and an interior wall stops cleanly at the trim.
What to send
Which side of the wall, the height, and a photo of the house or the room. Say if it is full brick or a thin brick face.
On this line
Outside the house
Brick veneer and full brick on walls, chimneys, and the returns at windows and doors. Weep holes and flashing stay in. A buried first course is not a finished wall.
Inside the house
A brick accent, a fireplace surround, or a full wall in the room. Thin brick when the floor cannot carry full brick. The joint is the joint you can live with, not a smear.
Not the heritage line
This is new brick on a house. Repointing a wall that is already old, and matching a soft mortar, is heritage restoration. Say which one you are asking for.
