Thin veneer and full bed
Thin veneer on a prepared wall. Full-bed where the wall is structural stone or a heavy fireplace. The product and the backup have to match. We will not thin-veneer a job that needs mass.
Freeze-thaw
Stone on a Northern wall fails at the flashing and the mortar, not in the brochure. Tops of walls, roof intersections, and the first course above grade get the detail.
